PRICE conscious buyers of leisure vehicles have been the latest focus of major Australian caravan manufacturer Jayco.

Aware of cost-of-living pressures, Jayco has launched some smaller, less equipped vans with pricing equivalent to some used vans.

However, it said that these new models did not compromise on quality.

The newest editions to the Starcraft family are the sub-17 foot product range in both the caravan and pop-top segments.

The company said that the catalyst for introducing the 15-foot Starcraft caravan and the 16-foot Starcraft pop top was to showcase that affordability doesn’t mean any compromise.

It said buying a quality Australian-made product that offers a mixture of floorplan flexibility and value for money features meant owners can enjoy the caravaning lifestyle which is critical given the current pressure on the cost-of-living.Jayco caravan interior kitchen and dining areaJayco said the total Starcraft model range was one that people new to caravaning could buy at an entry level price, without compromising on their purchase and still be within a customer’s budget limitations.

“The current feedback from consumers and the success of the 15-foot Starcraft caravan and the 16-foot Starcraft pop top is now gaining traction as more buyers gravitate back to the functionality of the product, the value, the price and towable weights, which enable them to be towed by a wider range of vehicles, including mid size SUV’s,” Jayco said.

“We believe that price does matter when customers are making a purchasing decision, however our main aim with the larger 19-foot Starcraft range is that we will continue to focus on the core family and couples’ offerings, potentially providing feature-packed limited-edition models in the future.”

The Jayco Starcraft range allows buyers to jump in a Jayco at a price similar to that of a pre-owned van.
