There comes a time when we all need to look for a life changer. Our modern lives can become mundane and surround us with stress, so we all look to escape vehicles to remind us of the pleasure of the simple things. Travelling is a great escape, opening the doors to adventure. It can also lead to quiet moments to be enjoyed in one of Australia’s many beautiful and therapeutic campsites, well away from outside distractions. That’s the world of the Crusader Lifechanger Connection.

Crusader Caravans

Crusader Caravans hold the great honour of being awarded the 2019 Caravan Industry Association award for “Excellence in Caravan and RV Manufacturing”, which inspires confidence. Part of the Lifechanger's ideal is to provide the ultimate in mobile luxury living: one that isn’t stressful to tow, has plenty of creature comforts, and all at a price that won’t break the budget. With its inviting queen-size bed and just a whisker under 6 metres internal length, it’s the ideal touring caravan for a couple. With a tare weight averaging around 2020kg, it can be towed easily by a mid-range RV or larger commuter vehicles.

With an optional 3200 kg ATM, this Lifestyle Connection is capable of carrying all your toys with its 1180kg of available payload. But remember, keeping the weight down will also lower your stress levels in many ways.

From The Ground Up

The undercarriage is strong but lighter than off-road alternatives. Its foundations lay with sturdy 4” fully welded box section Duratech chassis with 6” drawbar, plus the timeless dependability of tandem rocker style seven leaf suspension. It utilises Crusaders' strong, attractive and insulated body shell with 42mm single span composite floor providing secure underbody protection, plus a one-piece hail-resistant roof combined with white aluminium cladded skins for great looks in all conditions. This strong cocoon will keep you comfortable and secure even on the rugged roads to adventure and the extremes of our Aussie outback.

She tows like a breeze and handles some dust, corrugations, and potholes with ease. The lower floor height reduces the ground clearance slightly, but it’s great for those of us with bad knees, making entry and exit easy!

The Lifechanger range offers all the features you will desire, including bathrooms, innerspring mattresses, air conditioning, and loads of storage. It provides an affordable way to escape life’s daily drudgery and live a stress-free life of fulfilment, relaxation, and adventure.

Recliner Seating

Our demonstration unit was configured to supply the needs of a touring couple comfortably, but with a huge difference to most - it had optional twin recliners replacing the more common café style seating. They may not be as space efficient as a standard dinette, but these beautiful swivelling leatherette recliners are just the thing for total relaxation at the end of a day of pure enjoyment. They can even be moved outside under the roll-out awning to really enjoy your favourite campsite.

With the attractive aesthetics, you will always feel proud of your purchase. She’s a basic black-and-white demeanour with stylish Euro double-insulated tinted windows, a strong 4-way lockable security mesh door, polished checker plate front, rear, and side protection, plus a minimal amount of colour offsets and confident 15” mag wheels.

The 6” A-frame drawbar in front boasts all of the usual towing fittings and jockey wheel, but there are also twin 9kg gas bottles and a pressurised freshwater outlet. Behind this in the main body is a very large full width boot capable of storing all your essentials, and toys! The living side of the unit features a full length awning, fold out picnic table, an array of LED lighting, 240/12/USB and aerial outlets plus a pair of marine speakers to enhance the mood.

To the rear is a good, solid galvanised bumper bar complete with a mount for the spare wheel, large LED trailer lighting and of course a reversing camera. The roadside features lockable service and ventilation points, 240-volt inlet with circuit breakers and the 105Ah deep cycle battery box mounted to the chassis below. The mounting position does seem a little low to me, but OK for a highway tourer. Axillary power is fed via the Anderson plug or the 170-watt solar panel on the roof with a controller and a Projecta battery management system.

Underneath the plumbing and wiring is neatly routed plus there are twin 95 litre stainless steel water tanks with digital gauges and electric pump also feeding a gas/electric hot water system.

Chic Interior

Internally the Lifechanger Connection has the chic appeal of a high end apartment especially with those inviting recliners beckoning total comfort. Otherwise the layout is reasonably traditional with rear door and ensuite, kerb side tri-fold dinette table with kitchen opposite and the bedroom up front.

Crusader have created a stylish blend of gloss white and light grey cabinetry and walls, paired with brushed chrome fittings, black leatherette upholstery, and gloss splashbacks. The faux marble laminate bench tops and wood-grained floor add a touch of sophistication. The cabinetry's built to last, with strong piano hinges and dual gas struts on the overhead cabinets, and precision-crafted with fully CNC-cut furniture and durable metal drawers.

The ensuite is a highlight, featuring a full-height molded shower, front-load washing machine, and a spacious porcelain vanity with flip mixer. The cabinetry's practical and well-designed, with a large dressing mirror, and the cartridge toilet's got plenty of ventilation and lighting options.

Kitchen and Bedroom

The workable kitchen has rolled benchtops, a recessed four burner cooktop (3 x gas, 1 x electric) with grill, microwave, 12V Rangehood and a 190-litre 3-way fridge/freezer. It features an array of versatile cabinetry with deep drawers, overhead storage, stainless steel sink with mixer and the room is elevated with high 2032mm ceilings.

Up in front the Queen bed with innerspring mattress beckons a relaxing night sleep, or perhaps a refreshing nanny nap. It features a brreathable slatted base with plenty of storage beneath, plus a padded bedhead. It is set into an array of inmmodating cabiqueen includingan wardrobe and drawers. There are’s night nan ooks for all your n,ick knac,ks either side of the b,ed with electrical outletsan , overhead hatcha , TV mount for the LCD 24" TV DVD combo with digital aerial, and plenty of light and ventilation optio,ns including roof hatches and large side windows complete with flyscreens and blinds. Crusader always fit a terrific array of LED mood lighting, inside and out, including individual reading lights.

For comfort in all climates, there’s reverse-cycle air conditioning, plus plenty of 240- and 12-volt outlets, including USB plugs, CD/USB/Bluetooth and speakers, an external TV hutch, and two internal fans. There’s even an outdoor gas outlet for a portable barbecue.
