Crusader Caravans Honoured for Manufacturing Excellence with Lean Transformation Award
Crusader Caravans has once again cemented its reputation as a leader in Australian caravan manufacturing, taking out the Lean Transformation of the Year for Victoria award at the TXM Lean Solutions 2024 Awards.
Presented by global consultancy TXM Lean Solutions in celebration of its 20-year milestone, the awards recognise outstanding achievements in operational excellence and continuous improvement across multiple industries. Crusader Caravans was selected from a competitive field spanning metal fabrication, furniture, construction, and food production.
For Crusader, the accolade reflects years of strategic focus on lean manufacturing — a methodology that prioritises waste reduction, process efficiency, and product consistency. CEO and Founder Serge Valentino said the award is a reflection of the team’s long-standing commitment to quality and innovation.
“This award reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and delivering the best possible caravans to our customers,” Valentino said.
“Adopting lean principles to streamline our business, improve efficiency and enhance quality with our existing workforce has been infinitely beneficial. The win follows a string of recent honours for the Melbourne-based manufacturer, including the 2024 Caravan Industry Victoria (CIV) Award for Excellence in Caravan and RV Manufacturing — the industry’s highest recognition for design, build quality, innovation, and customer care. It’s the third time Crusader has received the CIV honour, having previously won in 2019 and 2021.
