Seller's Comment
The Queen of roof-topper utes, ready to take you to the remotest and most delightful bush campsites.
6-speed manual 4 x 4, fitted with everything you will need:
- Premium Fox Shocks and EFS rear springs. A vast improvement on standard suspension.
- Full Brown Davis under-body protection
- Bridgestone Dueller AT tyres
- Rear Diff Lock, and that torquey 3.2 litre turbo diesel, it will take you into the best bush camps in the best places.
- Rear vision camera
- Cel-Fi signal booster
- Driving lights, a light bar
- Towbar, and obviously a Bull Bar.
For those remote trips it also has a diesel pre-filter, two spare tyres, and room for 4x20 litre jerry cans between the cab and the 2400mm long aluminium canopy. Ready to camp for a weekend or to travel around Australia for a year. We have returned from the Big Lap - sadly we had only 4 months to complete the trip, but this Mazda has not missed a beat.
The camp set up is really fast and easy. It takes only 2 to 3 minutes to have your bed ready in the Rolls Royce of roof top tents, your bum in a chair, and the cooker fired up. And it’s just as quick and easy to pack up. The Bundutop King sized roof top tent is hard topped and fully electric: just unlatch it, push a button and up she goes, awnings and all. Fitted with a light and 2 fans, your bedding and pillows stay inside. This tent is way better than others at keeping cool or staying warm.
A new Kings awning has been fitted, with tent to hang off the awning for those cold or wet days.
The canopy is fitted with
- an Engel upright fridge,
- two new 140 amp lithium batteries in ArkPak management systems,
- a new 45 amp DC charge controller,
- 340 watts of fixed solar panels adding to the insulation of the tent roof
- inverters for your phone and camera charging
In the 'kitchen':
- Vermin proof food storage
- Lots of lightweight drawers
- a 2-burner slide out companion cooker
- a large ‘prep shelf’ for chopping yer veggies
- air compressor - vital for the rough or sandy tracks
- Joolca hot shower, a toilet if you want it
- 120 litres of fresh water tanks under the tray, just behind the cab.
The ute is also fitted with a Cel-Fi signal booster. There is full Hardcore white or bug resistant yellow LED lighting for both sides of the canopy. The wind deflector has solar panels that hinge up to allow storage of maxtracks (included) and a shovel. Three small gas cylinders are permanently stored safely in vented tool boxes under the tray: no need to take them out for cooking or showering. There is space for two bicycles in the rear most section of the canopy. Replacement cost of the accessories is $25,000. The tent alone would cost $7,200.
A lot of thought has gone into function and weight distribution. Everything heavy is forward of the rear axle, improving road stability and off road capability. Full Mazda service history. Only 80,000 kms and just back from a triumphant Big Lap right around Australia including much dirt road driving and river crossings.
